Muktha rethinks on schooling

Muktha was heard to say a couple of months back that she wants to reduce her number of assignments this year because she has to concentrate on her exams.

As she was studying in this year in her tenth, she decided not to take any more new assignments. But now the actress seems to have rethought about her decision.

She very well realize that making hay while the sun shines is the catchword, that makes you survive in filmdom.

And so she is again busy amidst assignments. She had already starred with almost all superstars.

After the film she will do the Kannada film with Malayalam director Rajasenan. And then she will appear in the Tamil film with Shalini's Brother Richard as the hero. After this film, she is to appear in Raj Babu's Kangaroo.

Muktha seems to think that studies can be continued at any point of her career.

Muktha breaks down in public

Actress Muktha held a press conference in Ernakulam Press Club on last Wednesday after her father's press meet. This was in response to her father's allegations that she and her mother were trying to push him out of the house when he opposed Muktha acting in glamorous roles.

The actress was visibly upset and burst into tears when she narrated her side of the story. She said that from childhood she was paying for the negligence from her father and that her father K.M. George abandoned her family when they were children. Muktha's mother brought them up with the help of her uncles. She recollected how father used to torture her mother. And then one day he deserted them for no reason. When Muktha started acting in cinemas, despite all that happened, she took initiative to call him back hoping that he would be a changed man. But now she thinks that was a foolish decision.

She accused that he is purposefully tarnishing her image. "I don't know why he is spreading such a bad image. Any father won't say such things against a daughter. I don't believe that cinema field is an arena to become bad for girls. If we want to go that way, there are several ways to become bad. I am not in that way. My mother is always with me. I don't know how I can adjust with this type of behaviour from my father. He is spoiling my future. This is too much.''.

She also alleged that George took all her life savings from her as the bank accounts were in his name. It was her father who prompted her to wear skimpy clothes for a Tamil film. Muktha's mother also attended the press conference.

Muktha's father in a Press Meet against Muktha

Actress Muktha (of Thamarabharani fame in Tamil and Achanurnangatha Veedu fame in Malayalam) has filed a case against her father K.M. George. George, in retaliation, called a press meet at Ernakulam Press Club on Monday and alleged that Muktha and her mother wanted him to get out of their house. George did not want Muktha to act in glamorous roles with skimpy clothes.


He alleged that Muktha’s mother, with some of her relatives, is compelling Muktha to act in such roles for money. She has not even completed her school education, he said.


Nearly eight cases had been registered by her mother against George. The house and property have been registered in Muktha's mother's name. George said that he is ready to grant her a divorce if she registers the property in his name. Meanwhile, contrary to George’s claims, Muktha said that her father abandoned them some years back. After her entry to films, she initiated to call him back in to their lives. Now she thinks that it was a wrong decision for he always creates problems for them.
