Mamta's golden re-entry

Veteran director Sathyan Anthikad has a special reputation in the Malayalam film industry. Invariably, he has powerful women characters in all his films; Bhagyadevatha, Innathe Chintha Vishayam, Vinodayathra, Rasathanthram, Achuvinte Amma and Manassinakkare, all had women at the epicentre of his films' plots! All his heroines -- Asin, Nayanthara, Meera Jasmine and recently Kanihaa -- instantly became immensely popular after his films. The latest in the list of his lucky heroines will be actress-singer Mamta Mohandas, who is on the comeback trail in Malayalam. According to sources, Mamta will be the heroine in Sathyan Anthikad's new untitled film with Jayaram as hero. Notably, Archana Kavi of Neelathamara fame was the first choice of the director and Kavya Madhavan also tried her best to bag this role. However, Lady Luck blessed Mamta this time! The shoot will start by the middle of January.

Mamta denies offer to pair with Shahrukh Khan

Mamta denies offer to pair with Bollywood Hot Sizzling Celebrity Shahrukh Khan.

Bold Actress Mamta Mohandas has refused a Bollywood Film recently where she was to pair with Bollywood Badshah Shahrukh Khan. Mamta was offered a role by Farah Khan for her Bollywood Upcoming Movie 2010 titled Happy New Year opposite Shahrukh. But Mamta is said to refuse the offer politely.

It’s really an eye shrinking act taken by an actress to deny an offer from Bollywood to pair opposite SRK. Being a debutant, Mamta might have thought it wise to start with someone less experienced and then move on to bigger stars. Anyways hope that she will meet with the same kind of golden chance again in future. But indeed it’s a brave decision Mamta! She is currently having two films in Malayalam- Nirakazhcha and Anwar.

Charmme to replace Mamta Mohandas

Charmme is one of the busiest stars in Tollywood and has starred in many heroine-oriented films. Some of them, such as 'Mantra', have been dubbed into Malayalam as well.
