Karthika's nude venture

Karthika Has signed a Malayalam art film ‘Makara Manju,’ on famous painter Raja Ravi Varma known for several naked and semi naked portraits of women folk, though Karthika has denied of any nude scenes in the film.

It seems a bit difficult to believe that an art film based on the life of Raja Ravi Varma, known for painting women nude will not have any such scene.

The movie is directed by Lenin Rajendra and Cinematographer Santosh Sivan is acting as Raja Ravi Varma in this film.

Karthika marriage

Karthika, who has acted as heroine in more than fifteen Tamil and Malayalam films is getting married. She becomes the second actress after Gopika to get married and leave the industry while her chart is zooming up.

She will be marrying is a Non Resident Keralite just like Gopika who got married to an NRI doctor. The engagement took place recently.

The marriage date would be fixed after she finishes the schedules of these films. She is known as the half-sari girl and her attire right from her first film has been the traditional half-sari.

Karthika in Tamil

After the super hit film Dindigul Saarathy, Karthika has got so many offers from Tamil. Dindigul Saarathy was the remake of Malayalam film Vadakunokki Yantram.

Though Karthika is selective regarding the Tamil movies, she has now been cast in the next project by Selva. He is remaking the film Nootruku Nooru which was released in 1971 and directed by Balachander.

In that film the late actress Srividya had donned the role of a malayali girl. Karthika is selected to do this role in the remake. Next month Aarumukhame will be released.

In this film she has essayed the role of a road worker, which is a very strong character. The director of the film is Sudheesh Sankar and hero is Deepak who is also a Keralite. In an other film Naalai Namathai Karthika dons the role of a district collector.
