Slumdog Millionaire actress Freida Pinto came out to be the star attraction at the Paris Fashion Week. Pinto, 24, was spotted sporting a big smile as she arrived for the glitzy Chanel runway show, where she joined fashion's A-listers, reports the Sun.

Meanwhile, the actress is said to have reportedly landed herself a deal to front cosmetics giant Estee Lauder. The reports came just days after veteran director Woody Allen signed her to star in his upcoming film.

SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE actors DEV PATEL and FREIDA PINTO have fuelled speculation they are dating - by shopping for jewellery together on Valentine's Day (14Feb09).The pair play childhood sweethearts in the Oscar-nominated movie, and their offscreen friendship has prompted rumours of a real-life romance.Patel dismissed the speculation last month (Jan09), insisting he and Pinto are just good friends.



He said, "We're soulmates because we're both in this surreal situation. She is very beautiful (but) there's no romance."But Pinto, 24, is rumoured to have ended her relationship with Rohan Antao earlier this month (Feb09) - opening the way for her to date 18-year-old Patel.Their co-star Anil Kapoor, who plays a gameshow host in the film, said in a recent interview he is convinced they are more than just friends.And Patel and Pinto further fuelled the rumours by spending the most romantic day of the year together last weekend (14Feb09), perusing a jewellery strore on London's Oxford Street, according to Britain's The Sun newspaper.


An onlooker tells the publication, “Dev and Frieda seemed completely smitten with each other. They spent 15 minutes in the jeweller’s and were quite happy to sign autographs and talk to fans.



“They paid particular attention to one of the cabinets which was full of the more expensive rings stocked by the store chain. They didn’t buy anything in the end, but they certainly spent plenty of time studying the range.”

FREIDA PINTO has declared her love for her SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE co-star DEV PATEL after previously shooting down rumours of a real-life romance.
The pair played childhood sweethearts in the Oscar-winning movie, and their close friendship away from the cameras prompted rumours of a relationship.

They initially laughed off speculation their on-screen chemistry had developed behind closed doors - but now Pinto, 24, is happy to talk about boyfriend Patel, who she calls "a lovely boy".
She says, "The friendship blossomed after the film, it got even stronger. This is all new to us.”


PATEL'S MUM CONFIRMS PINTO ROMANCE

DEV PATEL's mother has confirmed he is dating his SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE co-star FREIDA PINTO - just days after the couple were caught kissing during a romantic night out in Israel.


The actors, who played childhood sweethearts in the Oscar-winning movie, have repeatedly dismissed rumours they are dating off screen, even after their co-star Anil Kapoor hinted they were an item.



She tells Britain's Daily Mirror, "First it was the film and now everything else seems to have slotted into place.


"Life can’t get any better for him. Freida is really beautiful and I am really happy for them. Yes, we knew he was flying to Israel to see her."
