Bhavana, after the blockbuster hit of her maiden Tamil venture Chithiram Pesduthadi, was cast opposite Ajith for his next Tamil film Naan Kadavul. The movie was being directed by Bala. Initially it was suggested that Meera Jasmine might do the role. But she was later replaced by Bhavana. However the sad news is that the producer P L Thenappan has opted out of the project and the project might be temporarily shelved for now. For the sake of Naan Kadavul, Bhavana had reportedly refused to do several movies.
